Content Marketing – Bulletproof Strategy for your Brand

I know you probably saw the video where i mention “content marketing” but do you really understand what this means?

Let’s start from the beginning, by definition content marketing is a form of marketing in which you strategically put out content (Written, Audio, Visual, and or Media) to your ideal audience. This means that you have to keep in mind two main factors before you begin creating content:

1. Your objective (selling a product, service, or growing your brand)

2. Who you want to present it to (your target audience).

This is why, is often used by businesses to attract attention, generate leads, and grow a community around their brand.

But what kind of content you may ask?

Valuable FREE content!

Yes, FREE is the magic word here…

This is where most people frown a little and hesitate. Especially those that have spent years and money specializing on a subject or a business model.

Content marketing, when done the right way, is meant to transform your audience into leads, into qualified prospects, into customers, and finally into ambassadors of your brand. It helps individuals or companies create sustainable brand loyalty, provides precious information to your targeted audience and persuades new leads into becoming customers.

Ironically, it’s a form of marketing designed to increase sales without the sales pitch; you are actually making the sales by building a solid trust among your peers and audience to allow them to “know-like-trust you”.

This is truly a rare breed of marketing, because opposite to regular marketing (where you create a demand for a service or a product) you anticipate the questions, hot topics, doubts, and your audience’s needs for information, and then you “supply” this demand by creating content like writing an article, making an e-book, live streaming, infographics etc.

The true key besides learning and anticipating valuable information within your niche is staying constant, this is not about making an awesome post once in a blue moon, it is about really engaging with your audience, answering questions, and staying in the loop.

Think about it this way, if you only plant a seed you leave it to fate whether or not it makes it into a plant but if you are also watering, nurturing, and maintaining that seed your chances of watching it sprout and grow into a beautiful flower are almost guaranteed!
